Gio Awards is given by FABİSAD (Fantasy and Sci-Fi society of Turkey) annually for excellence in the fields it represents to those that provide exceptional talent and skills. It varies from illustrations, short movies, comics, story anthologies and fiction books.
I was tasked with creating the identity of the awards. Aside from the statue itself, I’ve generated many visuals for the awards show. It includes flyers, invitations, websites, animations and lastly, the cover of the anthology book.
Presentation Animations
The following videos were projected to the screen throught the Award show. They are loop animations which contained Giovanni Schognamilo’s pictures and movie footage’s. There are also intermission animations and presentations of the Judges and Nominees
Short Story Anthology Cover
Before the Anthology book cover was designed, it was not certain whether the cover would contain the entries of Illustration category of the Gio Awards. There fore i was tasked with having alternative cover designs in case the publisher could not come to terms with the illustrators. But at the end they did and i had the privilege to collage illustrations and blend the visual identity of the Awards into harmonious book cover
Website
This page was designed to give grandeur feeling to those nominated and participated. It also shows the general identity of the Award.
